About this journey
Named for the evenings that follow each day’s trek, Around the Fire is a 5-day, family-friendly camel trekking route through the Draa Valley desert u2014 an easy, unhurried introduction to multi-day desert trekking in Morocco, accessible to children from age 5.
The route passes ancient settlement sites, the old nomad market near Erg Zahar, and a well still used by local herders, moving camp most nights and ending each day with dinner, tea and stories shared around the fire.
