Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions govern all bookings made with Sahara Marokko for desert trips, camel treks, and accommodation in M’Hamid, Morocco. By booking a trip with us, you agree to the terms set out below. Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.
1. Bookings & Payment
A booking is confirmed once we receive miniment a deposit of 30% of the total trip price. The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before your departure date. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking. Payments can be made by bank transfer or through the payment methods listed at checkout on our website.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations must be submitted in writing by email. Cancellations made more than 30 days before departure receive a full refund of the balance paid, minus the deposit. Cancellations made 15 to 30 days before departure are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 15 days before departure are non-refundable. We recommend all travellers take out travel insurance that covers trip cancellation.
3. Changes to Your Booking
If you need to change your trip dates or itinerary after booking, we will do our best to accommodate the change subject to availability. Changes requested within 15 days of departure may not always be possible. We reserve the right to modify an itinerary due to weather, road conditions, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control, and will always aim to offer an equivalent alternative.
4. What's Included
Each trip page lists exactly what is included and excluded, such as transport, meals, camel rides, and accommodation. Unless otherwise stated, flights, travel insurance, personal expenses, tips, and drinks outside of mineral water are not included in the trip price.
5. Health, Safety & Fitness
Our desert trips involve camel riding, walking on uneven terrain, and exposure to sun and heat. You are responsible for informing us of any medical conditions, allergies, or mobility limitations before booking, so we can advise whether a trip is suitable for you. Travellers should be in reasonable health for the physical demands of their chosen trip.
6. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all travellers take out comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, and loss of personal belongings before departure. Sahara Marokko is not responsible for costs arising from a lack of adequate insurance coverage.
7. Passport, Visa & Entry Requirements
It is your responsibility to ensure you hold a valid passport and any visas required to enter Morocco. We recommend your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. Sahara Marokko is not liable for any losses arising from a traveller’s failure to meet entry requirements.
8. Liability
Sahara Marokko takes reasonable care in selecting guides, camels, vehicles, and accommodation, but travel in remote desert environments carries inherent risk. To the extent permitted by law, Sahara Marokko is not liable for injury, loss, illness, or damage arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including weather, road conditions, or the actions of third parties.
9. Photography & Media
We may take photographs or videos during trips for use in our marketing, website, and social media. If you would prefer not to be included, please let your guide know at the start of the trip.
10. Force Majeure
Sahara Marokko is not liable for any failure to perform our obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, or civil unrest. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule your trip where possible.
11. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any disputes arising from a booking with Sahara Marokko will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Moroccan courts.
